Fully managed compresses margin
In the fully managed model Temu sets the retail price and you agree a supply price. You compete on cost, and every logistics or quality problem comes out of a margin you don't control.
From fully managed margins to semi-managed control
Fully managed is the easiest way onto Temu, and Temu sets the price. Semi-managed gives you back control of pricing and inventory, but the overseas logistics become yours. We make that part simple: inspection and handling in a Temu-certified warehouse, bulk freight to your US or EU stock, and duty-paid delivery.

Supply for fully managed and semi-managed models
Temu gives sellers two ways in. Fully managed takes logistics off your hands and takes pricing with it. Semi-managed hands both back. The sellers who grow on Temu usually end up running both.
In the fully managed model Temu sets the retail price and you agree a supply price. You compete on cost, and every logistics or quality problem comes out of a margin you don't control.
In the semi-managed model you keep inventory in the destination country and fulfill orders yourself. You set the price, and the freight, customs, and warehousing behind it are now yours.
Temu checks incoming goods and tracks quality complaints. A rejected or returned batch means paying freight twice and losing selling days. Inspecting at the factory is far cheaper.
With US de minimis gone, mailing orders one by one from China is no longer the cheap option. Bulk freight into local stock usually lands each unit for less.
Semi-managed orders have to ship within the platform's deadlines. That only works with enough stock already in the destination country and a replenishment plan behind it.
Holding your own overseas stock means classification, duties, and customs paperwork. Duty-paid delivery (DDP) keeps that off your desk.
Fully managed is a good way to test products. When a product is proven, semi-managed with your own logistics is where the margin and the control come back.
| What matters | Fully managed (Temu runs logistics) | Your logistics, run by ECOMCARE |
|---|---|---|
| Retail price | Set by Temu. | Set by you. |
| Inventory | Delivered to Temu's warehouse in China and controlled by Temu. | Your stock, in your US or EU warehouse or 3PL. |
| Logistics | Handled by Temu. | China side and freight run by ECOMCARE. Your warehouse ships orders locally. |
| Quality control | Checked at Temu's receiving. Rejections come back to you. | Inspected at the factory before anything ships. |
| Multi-channel | Stock is committed to Temu. | The same stock can also serve Amazon, TikTok Shop, or your own store. |
| Margin | The supply price you agree with Temu. | Your retail price minus your landed cost. |
Many sellers run both models: fully managed to test new products, semi-managed for proven sellers. We support supply for both.

The points that most often hold up Temu inventory from China, in either model.
Many categories, including children's products, electronics, and items that touch skin or food, need certificates or test reports before listing and receiving.
Units and cartons need labels that match the SKU and shipment information in your Temu seller account.
Retail packaging and cartons must protect the goods through freight and last-mile delivery. Crushed or open packaging is a common rejection reason.
Semi-managed orders must ship from local stock within the platform's deadlines, so stock levels and replenishment timing matter.
When you hold overseas stock, someone has to be the importer for customs. Under DDP we arrange clearance and duty payment for you.
Batteries, liquids, and other restricted items need dangerous-goods documents and approval before shipping.
Temu's seller policies differ by model and market and change often. We confirm the current requirements for your account before every booking.
